Additional Information
CHANGE OF SCHEDULE! To better accommodate the needs of our riders, we will NOT run on Friday at all. All levels will ride Dressage and XC on Sat, Sep 8, and Stadium on Sun, Sep 9. This is a change to the schedule printed in the acceptance letter. Please contact us via email if this affects your stabling needs.
Packets will be available at Masterson Station Park Fri Noon-5P, and at KHP Stabling Fri 5:30P-7P; Show Office will open at Masterson Sat 6:30A.
All stabling will be in Barn 1, on the right off Nina Bonnie Blvd.
XC Schooling Available on Sun, Sep 9, 9A-4P. Riders should pick up a Schooling Pinney and sign a Release Form at the Secretary's tent before heading out to the courses. The rate will be $20 for Ky Classique competitors and $25 for non-competitors. Emergency medical personnel will be on grounds and the event fences will remain in place. Please enjoy this final opportunity for supervised schooling this season!
Changes for 2007
The 2007 KY Classique HT will be held at Masterson Station Park with stabling at the Ky Horse Park due to a date conflict at our regular venue. Mary Fike will be the sole organizer and course designer and the event will reflect her standards of excellence and attention to detail. And of course we will have the benefit of all our wonderful, experienced volunteer staff!
We will offer the following divisions: OP, JYOP, and PR; OT and TR; ON and NR; OBN, BNH and BNR. Divisions will be divided or combined as needed based on entry levels. Please refer to Appendix III of the USEA Rulebook for definitions of the divisions. Time limitations have forced us to cancel the FEI and the Intermediate divisions for this year, and the Adult Team Championships have been moved to the Hagyard Midsouth CCI* & Team Challenge HT in October at the KHP.
Masterson Station Park has been very gracious in offering us their lovely facility for the weekend. The cross-country courses will not be just a fall version of the Spring Bay tracks but will offer a different ride for all of you who competed there in April. We appreciate the fact that stabling at KHP means hauling, and we plan to create a schedule which keeps that to a minimum.
Masterson Station is only minutes from the KHP stabling and has established bluegrass XC courses with sand and grass dressage arenas. Directions to both venues are listed in the Omnibus. You may also click Directions for a printable map. Click Trailer Parking for a map of Masterson Station Park. We fully intend to rebuild the event to its international status in the future but in the meantime, please join us at Kentucky Classic with a twist! We hope you will support our efforts and we look forward to seeing you all!
KY Classique shares the weekend with a Quarter Horse show this year, and consequently the first night we have access to stabling will be Wed, Sep 5. Please make your travel plans accordingly. Note: our regular Labor Day weekend dates should be reinstated after the USEF 2007 "date adjustment" process is completed.
This event is part of the 2007 AREA VIII SUCCEED® CHALLENGE SERIES. Click here for all the details.
An entry that is faxed is not a complete entry and will not be processed at all until we receive a postmarked complete entry with fees and paperwork attached. We accept entries strictly by postmark and will not "save" spots for these entries to avoid waitlisting them. Thanks!
Attention: Competitors!
Many of our spectators are new to the sport of Eventing, and we want them to know you as more than just a number.
Is your horse an off-the-track-Thoroughbred? Is this your first or your horse’s first event? Is this a new horse, or perhaps your first Training Level event together? Maybe it is your birthday, or you are really proud of something you and your horse have accomplished this year. We want to know about your profession, your school/college, spouse/children, etc.
Please email some background information to our announcer Cyndi Kurth with Subject Line “Rider Bio-(add name of event entered)”. Please complete these no later than Tue, Sep 4. This info will not be shared with anyone else!
